An Open Letter to the President
To my dearest King Duterte,
Good day your highness! It’s been a while since you’d become our majesty. It’s been a while since you let your people to have a sounded sleep. The people has spoken and it’s your name that we’ve shouted. For you are an extraordinary king whose only envisage is to make the country an outstanding and peaceful one, we salute you our great President Rodrigo Duterte.
For the previous years, Juan has always been a submissive of a richer country. Other would say that Juan can’t stand alone on his own feet and this impression depicts an ugly image of him. I am afraid that one day, my fellow youth will be discouraged because of the said issue. I’m afraid that someday we won’t be able to live on the same country that we used to. We, Filipinos especially youth wanted change. We always wanted a great country and we’ll always want a responsible and a handful president. The youth is counting on you.
On the other hand, the Government kept on saying that Juan is on its growing state, that Juan is growing his economy. Nevertheless, why is it that its progress isn’t reaching the poor? If Juan is really on his steps up on the mountain, then why do some people still has nothing to eat? They don’t even have a comfortable house to live. Their plates still lack the proper food for their nourishment. Even some public hospitals don’t have enough medicines to give. Most of the youth are working hard instead of studying and solving math problems? Philippines is a lovely country and yet some Filipinos chose to work abroad because our country can’t give our proper needs that other country can do. Many people are having the same problems such as where to find work and gain money to buy foods, medicines and other common needs. Many can’t get a proper life because of financial capacity. Maybe the main reason of these is the corruption that beats up the other government officers and we hope for a great change. We ask for your hand our president. As a student, I am hoping that this corruption will be ended for us to finish our studies and fulfill our dreams without any troubles in terms of financial on our tuition fees when we got into college.
Moreover, Mr. President, We all know that drug is also a big problem on our society for it caused a bad image and it’s against the law. Drug is a dirt in our country and It destroys each one’s mind and family. However, some netizens don’t know about it yet that’s why they keep on using it though it’s illegal. They may mistakenly think that those who use drugs lack moral principles or willpower and that they could stop their drug use simply by choosing to. In reality, drug addiction is a complex disease, and quitting usually takes more than good intentions or a strong will. It changes our brain that makes us quitting hard even if we want to. Drugs is driving people crazy and it gives them an instinct to perform improper attitudes and hallucinates that sometimes leads them to kill one another. Mr. President, I know that you’re aware of this and I wish that you won’t let Juan be drowned in this Illegal possession. However, I’m really glad that you’re making an action to prevent this. I’m looking forward you’re your successful plans regarding the intake of illegal drugs. I fully support your campaign against drugs that have destroyed the lives of many promising young people.
We, your people and my fellow youth count on you My President. You’re the hope of our nation. Juan wanted a change and we are hoping that your leadership will lead us in a peaceful life. We will never regret that we chose you as our president for your uniqueness and tightness. May our beloved God guide you in your path in making our country a worth living.
