Division Office, Local Gov’t turn-over School Education Fund properties
San Juan, July 27, 2016 – The City Government together with the local Schools Division Office handed out instructional materials and supplies to San Juan schools’ OICs at San Juan National High School’s Audio Visual Room.
With the joint effort of the Local Government of San Juan and Schools Division Office OIC Dr. Joel Torrecampo, the turn-over of School Education Fund (SEF) learning materials, supplies and properties was made possible.
Mrs. Lucila Artuyo, SJNHS OIC gave the opening remarks welcoming the guests for the event. Mrs. Artuyo took the opportunity to recognize and thank the City Mayor Guia Gomez for her continuous support to give and distribute different learning materials.
Dr. Torrecampo also gave his speech referring to what the purpose of the event is. He said that the tying up of The Local Government and DepEd will go a long way. He added that these materials are the product of the right use of SEF and it will benefit many people especially the students. Similarly he sincerely thanked the City Local Government and Mayor Gomez for giving the materials. Lastly, he said the schools will have the supplies they need from the government as long as the schools excel.
Mayor Guia G. Gomez personally handed out the supplies and materials. Each of the Elementary Schools OIC was given educational books. SJNHS OIC and staffs were given a set of computer and desktop. Mayor Gomez appreciated the students’ effort and said she was delighted to give students and schools what they need. She also added that the local gov’t will provide what the schools need.
